Goldeswert

Die Goldhaube ist aufgrund der aufwendigen Herstellung und des teuren Materials wohl das kostbarste Stück der Linzer Tracht. Weshalb sie nur zu besonderen Feiertagen ihre Schachtel verlassen darf und zur Schau getragen wird.

Goldeswert bei Kälte ist allerdings diese Haube mit Muff oder praktischen Beutel, die neben dem dekorativen Zweck auch wärmt.

Worth Gold

The "Goldhaube", a golden headdress, is probably the most expensive part of the traditional women's costume worn in Linz, Austria, because of the complex procedures and expensive materials used in production. For this reason, it is only taken out of the hat box and shown off on special holidays.

This hat—which comes with a muff or a convenient pouch—is not only decorative, but also warm, and worth gold in cold weather.

Kimono

In Hawaii heißt Vagina „Punami“, was übersetzt soviel wie „himmlische Blüte“ bedeutet.

Auch in einem japanischen Lied der Geishas wird das weibliche Geschlechtsteil als Blume besungen. Junge Geishas schminken sich nicht nur ihr Gesicht, sondern tragen auch im Nacken Bemalungen, welche Schamlippen symbolisieren sollen. Ältere Geishas hingegen haben es nicht mehr nötig sich hinter einer Maske zu verstecken und verzaubern durch ihre natürliche Anmutigkeit. Als Vorlage für die Seidenmalerei des Kimonos dienten medizinische Illustrationen von Vaginen, die so arrangiert wurden, dass daraus Blumenmuster entstanden.

Kimono

In Hawaii, the word for vagina is "punami", which means heavenly flower.

There is also a Japanese geisha song in which the female genitalia are referred to as flowers. Young geishas do not only paint their faces, they also have paintings in their necks that symbolize labia. Older geishas, on the other hand, do not have to hide behind a mask anymore and enchant with their natural charm. As a template for the silk paintings on the kimono, I used medical illustrations of vaginas that I arranged in flower patterns.
